St Helena is a working cargo liner and mail ship that is fitted with stabilisers and offers several tastefully decorated public rooms. The cruise experience is relaxed with many days at sea.  St Helena passengers tend to be Mixed ages and British and South African. When all cabins have double occupancy, the ship provides a space ratio of 69.1 tons per passenger and a crew to passenger ratio of one for every 1.8 passengers. At full capacity the space ratio is 49.4 tons per passenger and the crew ratio is one to 2.4 passengers.

Casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress is semi formal (jacket and tie for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies).

Wheelchair access is acceptable. A larger cabin is fitted with wider bathroom doors and disabled facilities. There is also a lift and stair lift for moving around the ship.  Hoists are not provided and passengers will need to bring their own.

The rating for children is Acceptable. This is a family friendly ship and children are welcome aboard. There is a playroom but no other facilities for children.
