Black Watch is a sleek comfortable but older ship that has been newly refurbished with more balcony cabins, spacious public areas and a restful décor. The staff are friendly and attentive.  Black Watch passengers tend to be 50+ and Mainly British. When all cabins have double occupancy, the ship provides a space ratio of 35.5 tons per passenger and a crew to passenger ratio of one for every 2.4 passengers. At full capacity the space ratio is 33 tons per passenger and the crew ratio is one to 2.6 passengers.

The inside cabins are small but 90% are outside and of a reasonable size. They are nicely equipped with aircon, TV and plenty of storage space.

There is plenty of open deck space available for sunbathing and a teak promenade deck. The sports facilities are limited as this is an older ship, but offers a health & fitness centre, two pools, sauna and gym.

The Neptune show lounge features shows, reviews cabaret and dancing and the Lido Lounge is a venue for music, dancing and quizzes. There is a good tiered cinema (the Marina), the Observatory Lounge, a casino, card lounge, games room and internet café.  Show Lounges 1

Casual and comfortable during the day. Evenings range from smart casual (shirt & trousers) to informal (jacket and tie for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). Formal evenings require a suit or dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies.
Allow up to £4 per day (£2 each for your cabin steward and waiter) per passenger.

Wheelchair access is unsuitable. This is an older ship so facilities for disabled passengers are few. Going ashore at tender ports is not possible for passengers who cannot manage stairs.  Hoists are not provided and passengers will need to bring their own.

The rating for children is Unsuitable. There is a small playroom for children but few other facilities although they are welcome.
