The M/S Freya was originally built in 1981 for the Swedish Maritime Administration as the light house maintenance vessel M/S Fyrbjörn. In 2011 she was taken over by the Swedish Coast Guard as a multipurpose vessel.  Freya passengers tend to be Mixed around 50 and American & European. When all cabins have double occupancy, the ship provides a space ratio of 50.4 tons per passenger and a crew to passenger ratio of one for every 3 passengers. At full capacity the space ratio is 50.4 tons per passenger and the crew ratio is one to 3 passengers.

DRESS CODE
Shipboard clothing is informal and casual. Jeans, slacks, casual shirts and deck or running shoes are the normal garb. A padded ski jacket or down parka, scarf, balaclava and three pairs of gloves would be good for exploration in polar regions.
